THATCamp DH Collaborate will be held on the Texas A&M Campus.  For campers coming from out of town,  there will be a block of hotel rooms at the College Station Hilton available at the “government rate” of $97 per night.   When registering, please use the group code THAT and the group reservation name “THAT Camp.”

Parking: The closest parking will be in the Central Campus Garage. The maximum daily rate for parking is $15.00. For more information and maps, see Visitor Parking at Texas A&M University.

Restaurants: In addition to the Hilton’s restaurant, a number of others are in walking distance. Directly across University Dr. from the Hilton (there is a traffic light and crosswalk), you will find Abuelo’s and Rosa’s (Mexican), Atami (Japanese), Blue Baker (deli and pizza), Grub (burgers), Veritas (upscale), and a couple of others. Of course there are many other options a little further afield.

For more information (including additional restaurants and hotels), visit the Bryan/College Station Convention and Visitors Bureau.

  1. Boot camp topics.
“Possible topics for boot camp thus far includes TEI and/or XSLT training, GIS, digital project management, digital project startup, and Neatline.”
I feel like a kid in a foreign candy store: so many options, so little understanding at this point. As a novice, I confess to being most interested in the basics – digital project management and startup and Omeka before Neatline.
